Highland Base - Kerlingarfjöll

In September of 2024, I and the VILLAGE team set our sights on Iceland with the intent of exploring the highlands, a difficult-to-access region that I had only briefly been able to experience at the tail end of winter. With the highlands accessible by 4x4, we spent our first few nights exploring the Kerlingarfjöll mountains and its hidden geothermal areas with Blue Lagoon's Highland Base. Having worked with them before during my winter visit, it was incredible to see the changes that the landscape would undergo just 6 months apart.
